7th Annual Surf for a Cause
The 7th Annual Surf for a Cause was held on September 9, 2007 in front of Lucy the Elephant in Margate, NJ. The waves were not real characteristic of New Jersey in hurricane season, but it was fun nonetheless!
During an intermission, Foundation President Adam Walcoff showed the 300 plus attendees where their gracious donations end up. $1,000.00 checks were present by the Board of Trustees to Gilda’s Club of South Jersey, the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund and the Shore Memorial Hospital Cancer Center. Additionally, a whopping $10,000.00 was donated to the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.
The after party was a blast! Although there may be few who recall exactly what went down at Maynard’s, I seem to clearly remember some kick-ass live reggae band and a lot of people winning huge raffle prizes.

3rd Annual Surf for a Cause
The
Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation (DRCF) held it's 3rd Annual "Surf
For A Cause" Pro/Am on Saturday September 27, 2003 at the 35th Street
Beach, Longport, NJ. Over 100 surfers, from as far away as California,
turned out to display support. An after party at Maloneys Tavern in Margate
yielded further support from many area businesses who donated product
or services to be used as door prizes and raffle items.
Dean Randazzo was
diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, a cancer of the lymph nodes, back in
June 2001. After ongoing treatments he is in remission, but a Foundation
was formed to support others with cancer who do not have health insurance,
can not afford to pay medical bills, and for the purpose of raising money
for cancer research. This year's recipient of the "Surf For A Cause"
will benefit a fellow Professional surfer, Jason Bogle, who is without
health insurance and was diagnosed this year with Ewing Sarcoma, a tough
but beatable form of cancer. The amount being donated to the Jason Bogle
Fund on behalf of the DRCF Foundation is $12,000. Last year's contest
awarded $10,000 to the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund of Southern
New Jersey to benefit cancer research. If you would like to see pictures
